Biostimulants are gaining global popularity as an eco-friendly alternative to chemical inputs because they are derived from beneficial microorganisms and natural compositions used to support crop production and help farmers in better and more efficient plant growth. However, challenges in production and fermentation processes of biostimulants on large-scale diminishes the viability and performance of the microbes. Through Smart Microbes research and extensive work with microorganisms, we have developed an innovative process to overcome the challenges of mass production, which will boost the use of biostimulants to become a major industry influencer.
TECHNOLOGY AT A GLANCE
Smart Microbes understands the need to increase manufacturing capacity as market demand rises. However, translating from laboratory scale to large production scale poses challenges. One in particular is the fall in productivity of microbes which decreases the viability of the final product. With our peripheral microbial insight, we have developed a proprietary Mass Microbial Production and Fermentation Technology that promotes microorganisms in an optimized growth environment to ensure there are no shortfalls in the cell culture process, allowing for commercial scale-up production.
SMART MICROBES LABORATORY COMMERCIAL PRODUCTION SCALE-UP
By integrating our technology with our biostimulant processing, the benefits of our microbes enhance the effectiveness of Smart Microbes biostimulants, which can revitalize 90% of declined plants while reducing inputs (i.e., fertilizers) by 30%–50% and delivering a competitive edge by bio-actively intervening in the physiological mechanisms of plants, resulting in robust growth, yield, and vigor, increasing resistance to stress, and helping to build and sustain plant health and thriving, rich soil.
